Gordon’s London Dry Gin [700ML]

Gordon’s is a brand of London dry gin first produced in 1769 and is owned and operated by Diageo. Gordon’s London Dry Gin was created by Alexander Gordon who is a Londoner of Scottish descent. The distillery first opened in Southwark, London in 1769 which was well known for its clean water supply and later moved to Clerkenwell in 1786. In 1998, production moved to Fife in Scotland and it still remains to this day.

Every label and bottle top of Gordon’s Gin bears a depiction of a wild boar as the story according to the member of the Gordon Clan, saved the King of Scotland from this animal while hunting.

Gordon’s Gin is triple-distilled and contains botanicals of juniper berries, coriander seeds, angelica roots, liquorice, orris roots, orange and lemon peel. The exact recipe has remained a closely guarded secret since 1769. Gordon’s Gin differs from other gins at the time because there was no sugar added, which made it a dry gin.
