In the year 1740, the Boehm family first stepped foot into America. They later changed their German family name to Beam. They were corn farmers in Kentucky and turned excess corn into whisky. Jacob Beam, son of a German immigrant founded Jim Beam and started selling the corn-whisky recipe created by his father. He sold his first barrel of Old Jake Beam in 1795. The family dynasty lives on today with seven generations and more than 200 years in the Beam brand.

The Beam Bourbon mash bill is a secret mix of at least 51% corn, rye and barley. Beam bourbon has a special taste thanks to the limestone shelf acting as a natural filter for pure Kentucky water. This creates iron-free, calcium-rich water that’s perfect for making bourbon.

Jim Beam White Label is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky. Made with the same formula since 1795. It undergoes distillation at lower temperatures and is distilled to no more than 62.5%. White label is aged for four years which legally is allowed to be called Straight Bourbon and has quite a high percentage of rye in the mash bill. Bottled at the standard 40% ABV.

TO THE EYE
Light Gold.

TO THE NOSE
Hints of corn with light fruity notes.

TO THE PALATE
Caramel and vanilla. Faint almond and fruit notes.

TO THE END
Medium vanilla and oak finish with hints of spice.
